This website is mainly an exercise in website design and administation.

This page exists for a couple of reasons, firstly I think all websites should have an about page and secondly, someone finding one of my pages may actually be interested to know what this website is all about.

The current design of this website uses the W3.css Framework, it's template is based on one given an example. It has been greatly enhanced/developed from the original. The use of W3.css classes features heavily in this design.

I also have an interest in the history or the local area.

This is a Personal Website.

Make of it what you wish.... - I am also compiling information on the History of Belchamp Walter.

The webmaster is not particularly concerned whether you find this website as it is not a business. The primary reason for the website is to allow the development of new websites designs and to evaluate the current technologies available to those administering websites.

In fact, apart from the importance of a website for eCommerce (i.e. selling a product or service), a website in general is pretty irrelevant

The majority of Internet users are accessing using their phones and not interested in finding out detailed factual information. The mobile screen is far less likely to encourage the visitor to venture further.

They are also more interested in what is being said on Social Media and where they can buy or book something. The presentation of information as a website is only really relevant to governments and associated entities such as the NHS.

There are advantages on having a website than relying on Social Media but this is beyond most phone users.

The webmaster is also the administrator for the the Belchamp Walter Parish Council website.

Having looked at email setups and how those that I know use it I have come to the conclusion that most people check their email on their mobile phone. Parish Councilors and Village Hall Committee members do have computers but they only use them when they do "real work"!

The reason this website exsists

I am gettting fed up with the (perceived) notion that you would only set up a website as a business or if you are not a business your motive is to attack a business or individual.

I am pretty happy with the way this website looks and I am currently working on the adaption of more W3.css Templates
