The Circular Nature of my history pages

I have been told that this website seems to going around in circles.
This was true, I see what the person means as there are many pages that describe the History Project that I am attempting to write regarding Belchamp Walter's History.

The vast majority of visitors to this website are not interested in Belchamp Walter's history.
When a visitor is actually interested and they follow some of my links they may get the impression that they have entered my version of "Groundhog Day"!

Changing template

One of the reasons that I have developed a circular nature for my pages is that I have changed the template for the history pages many times. The result of this is that the menu item taking the visitor to what the history pages are attempting to do are not always the same.

I could start over and only have a single "what are the history pages about" but this would be a monumental task.

In addition, most of the visitors to this website get here as a result of a search. If they find the information that they were looking for they are likely to just move on.

Redirection at server

The following pages are redirected to belchamp_walter_history_3.html:

Copies of the pages will be made using the suffix _new and new pages re-written with their content. This way if they are accessed by a search there, hopefully, should be no confusion. Also, if I refer to these pages on other pages they will always return the to same page.

I was also preoccupied with removing ways for the visitor to leave the website by providing links to other websites including Wikipedia.
