Parish Council and Village Hall Websites

The Belchamp Walter Parish Council website is administered by tempusfugit.me.uk

tempusfugit.me.uk has transferred the ownership of the Belchamp Walter Village Hall website to a member of the Village Hall Commitee.

The residents of the community seem to be more interested in using Facebook than they are regarding their own dedicated community websites.

The Village Hall website uses Wordpress it was not my choice.

It have observed that Impressions of this page have been made by those looking for "Village Hall Website Designer", tempusfugit.me.uk could do this but would have to be approached and asked.

The website bwvh.uk was not constructed using Wordpress. It uses all my own custom code and I have much more control including the ability to optimise the site for Google.

Seeing some Impressions and Clicks for this page and concluding that the search query was "village hall website designer" I have converted this page to the new format.

While not looking for a new task to build a new Village Hall website I am interested in the fact that my page was found by an Internet user. This is an example of the use of Google Search Console and the manipulation of SEO results. This is my hobby and the main reason for the motivation for my websites. In fact, I am not really interested in maintaining my current Village Hall webiste.

In my opinion the Village Hall website in not necassary for the operation of the Village Hall. This is mainly due to the lack of engagement from those that run the Village Hall and its events. In addition, those involved with the Village Hall are more interested in using Facebook for event promotion and communication. As I am not a Facebook user I cannot comment (well actually I can!) on whether this is the correct approach. In any case any of my thoughts seem to fall on "deaf ears".
