The Descendants of William the Conqueror
This page was formerly a copy of Alan G. Freer's work on people local to Belchamp Walter. I thank him for all his good work and thought it best to make a copy just in case his website ceases to exist.
I have moved the family tree that was on this page as I felt that it was only being accessed by those looking for current information on people that are local to this area. The searches finding this page were not from those actually looking for information relating to William the Conqueror
If you would like a copy then please ask and I will be happy to send you a link to the tree. I have also removed the clickable link to Alan's work at the foot of this page.

Note: the local copy is not a complete web page but is coded into html. (so it is searchable)
Alan Freer and Ancestry.com - or co.uk
I disagree with Alan about the notion that his demise will mean that all his work will be lost. Uploading his database to Ancestry is a mistake in my opinion.
Feeling the inevitable pull of mortality, it occurred to me that this website probably would not survive my demise. With that in mind, I have started to feed all the information into Ancestry.co.uk to preserve the decades of work. If you are a member of Ancestry you will find it under “Royal England.” 95,000 names so far!I posulated about the fleeting nature of websites and this would also apply to tempusfugit.me.uk and to Ancestry.whatever for that matter. The work that The Internet Archive are doing may be a solution to this.
