The Carousel or Rolling Menu

The Carousel or Rolling Menu is basically a slideshow of images that when clicked will take the visitor to other pages on a website.

This menuing system is probably beyond most visitors comprehension, however, I think that it is quite useful. The image is always in the same position on the screen but for those that are accustomed to more convertional menuing systems it is not obvious that a selection can be made by clicking on an image.

I was implementing it on my index page. There are some limitations to its use including accessibilty problems

Limitations

The rolling carousel can be used as a menu.

The slideshow need not be automatic and it will not be obvious to the visitor that the images are actually links. The cursor will reflect that the image is a link but this will not be seen on a portable "touch" device.
