Easton Hall Suffolk - otherwise known as Eyston Hall

Searches for this seemed to be prevalent October 2021.

Background to this page

Having seen some of my history pages being found by those making an Internet search I have decided to add a bit more context on how the pages came about.

An Impression in March 2022 was looking for information on Eyston Hall (I presume). The Impression was for my page on Belchamp Walter's Farmer's Strike of 1893

The name Easton Hall was taken from Thomas Wright's account and on reflection I note that the current maps (OS and Google) refer to Eyston Hall. There is also an Eyston Hall Farm (seperate from the Hall I think), an Eyston Lodge and Eyston Smyth's Farm, the last two are on Temple End (the road to Foxearth and Pentlow).

The Botetourt Chantry in St. Mary's church

This could have been commissioned by Thomas de Botetourt, Sir John's eldest son.
