Smeetham Hall is situated on the opposite side of Belchamp Brook to Belchamp Walter. It is also close to Goldington Hall, a much older estate.

The Historic England listing:

BULMER TL 84 SW 1/60 Barn 40 metres south west of Smeetham Hall - II Barn. Mid C16. Timber framed and plastered on partly original red brick plinth and part black weatherboarded in the gable ends. Roof is gabled and of corru- gated asbestos with a central lean-to roof over the great door on the south side. Aisled on both sides and of 5 bays, the roof is crown post, with flat profile longitudinal braces and single alternate sided down bracing. Jowled posts, curving aisle passing-braces and some wall bracing. Moated site. Listing NGR: TL8434641326
