Wordpress Block Editor
Having played around with the Wordpress.com account for the Village Hall for a while I have observed a few things. It becoming more and more obvious that there are limitations using .com.
When there is something I want to achieve I find myself looking at .org pages on the Internet.
Editing older pages
If pages were created using the earlier editor there are things that cannot be done when the page is converted to "blocks". A workaround seems to be deleting a block and re-creating it.
This is true when it comes to forms and images (there are proabably more that I have yet to come across). With forms you cannot add custom response messages when the form has been submitted.
Even the simplest of tasks is made complicated!
I think this is largely due to Wordpress making "improvements" and not fully explaining the changes as they are not intuative. The result of which is that something you did before on a page is now performed in a different manner and you are left having to guess what menu option to use.
For example, I wanted to add 3 names to a list that I copied from an email - on pasting to the existing list in a Block a new Block was added to the page and all the line spacings were off. To correct this much "farting" around was required.
