tempusfugit.me.uk is no longer the webmaster of the Village Hall website. The ownership of the Wordpress website has been transferred to a Village Hall Committee member.

When this page was authored, sometime in 2021, TSOHost and and their implementation of GridHost was still operational. Since that time TSOHost have been aquired by GoDaddy and the service has changed significantly.

As I received very little feedback on the bwvh.uk design and there is little need or interest in a website for the village hall I have not been spending much time working on it.

In fact, if I were to want to continue with this venture I would be looking for another host or I would transfer the domain to HostingUK.net. The issue of the cost of hosting would then be an issue as the village hall would have to pay the same as the Parish Council. The best solution for the Village Hall is to get someone to administer the free Wordpress website.

Having registered the bwvh.uk domain in February 2020 it was up for renewal in 2021. I decided to let the renewal proceed automatically as it was only £8.34. The domain is hosted free as a registered charity and I may continue with the work that I started may continue if the current Covid lockdown is over. I admit that I have my suspicions that the work that I performed so far is either needed and much less appreciated.

Renewed until 2024

The domain registration was renewed until 21/02/2024. The Wordpress.com subscription expired 2 March 2022. So far nobody has noticed.

I spent a lot of time emulating the Business Theme on Wordpress.com - if I were to continue supporting the Village Hall website I may choose yet another design.

A placeholder for future videos

I created a /media directory on the tsohost server. This page has a sample that can be used as a template for future work.

The password for "hand-over" experiment is Vh1234567!. New User name created and made admin as original login was used to update a page that was not asked for.
