Accepting Payments on Wordpress.com

Just when I was documenting what I could and couldn't do with Wordpress.com they announce a online payment scheme free with all paid plans.

Wordpress.com say that the payment gateway is free on all paid plans but you still have to sign-up with Stripe and then you will have to pay the Stripe proocessing fees.

Below is the example one-off payment supplied bt Wordpress. I would imagine that you will have the ability to edit the button (within the general limitations of the Block Editor of course!)

Since I started this page it would appear that Wordpress have changed their pricing. The image above says that the payment button is free with ALL paid plans, this not reflected in the table below.

The prices do agree with those stated on the Wordpress package pricing pages.
