The Stunt Family of Belchamp Walter
If you visit the church of St. Mary the Virgin Belchamp Walter you will find many graves in the churchyard bearing the name Stunt.
The Stunts were a significant family in the history of the village and they are recorded in the censuses of the village.
According to the 1891 census Charles Stunt was the farmer at Munt Farm. His father, Robert Wright Stunt, and his aunt, Eliza Elinor Stunt, also resided at Munt Farm (The Munt House).
In later years, early 20th Century, the Stunts were still farmers and Christopher Morris Stunt died and was buried in the Parish Council Cemetery in September 1922.

The 1893 Farm Labourers strike saw Mr. Stunt
of Monks farm (yes, a different spelling - the quote was from the Suffolk Free Press) having
two workers "out" four at work.
Other farmers in the village also had workers "out", including
Mr. Prigg at many farms, Mr. Firmin at Eyston Farm, Mr. Deeks at Fish Farm, Mr. Brand of Clarks Farm
and Mr. Hustler of White's.
Charles Leonard Morris Stunt listed on the Belchamp Walter Roll of Honour for the Great War of 1914-18.
The grave of Robert Wright Stunt is located in the North West corner of the Churchyard. Died 1896?
