Belchamp Walter Roll of Honour
The Roll of Honour, prints of which are on display in the church and the village hall is headed:
Names of those who answered the Call of Duty and have gone from this Parish to serve their King and Country in the Great War 1914-1918
The family names of these men appear in both the Burial Registers for the Parish Council Cemetery and the names of the "fallen" on the War Memorial in the Cemetery.
Some of those that returned from the Great War are buried in the Parish Council Cemetery and the location of where the families lived in the village are also recorded. I have tried to create a profile for these families to put into context the sacrifice that these men and their families made at this time.

Names on the War Memorial
Many of the names in the Honour Roll are also present on the War Memorial in the churchyard of St. Mary's church.
In addition, the returning service-men and their families are also recorded as buried in the cemetery at St. Mary's.
