Parish.uk Network

The Parish.uk Network is a privately owned website and nothing to do with the government.

As the webmaster of this and the Belchamp Walter Parish Council websites I am a little concerned that the Parish Network appear to be masquerading as the official website for the Parish Council. The information that they present on their pages, while correct, seems to have been scraped off my official website.

There are also Planning Application pages, Parish Council information (not complete) and a contact form that is not clear where the communication is sent as it is from a web form.

As they say on the search function they claim to represent ALL Civil Parishes in England and Wales.

As they appear to be run out of Portsmouth I am not sure if they have an idea what is going on in Belchamp Walter. They seem to want visitors to enter information on their website so that they can build their own database.

Updating Councellor information

Possibly troubling is the apparent ability to update information on their website.

Some of the data on the Parish Network seems to have been taken from one of the legit websites as I had put a cryptic comment about Facebook on a link. This comment forms part of the Parish Network's Belchamp Walter "Introduction".

The Parish Network is NOT authorised to make any changes to the official Parish Couhcil website.
