An Interactive Forum

At the present time the tempusfugit.me.uk website is not interactive.

My distain for Social Media in general dictates that I am reluctant to adopt such an approach. In my opinion it is far too easy for visitors to an interactive forum to make comments that are not always helpful.

A Comment/Feedback form

I started development on this but suspended it as I was getting server errors that I decided to put off debugging to a later date.

The original form (or the one that I was working on) is linked below. I need to reformat it and work out why the logging of the form transaction is not reporting the same in the php and the fetch() logging pages.

Allowing comments on posts

If I wanted to do this I could with a Wordpress blog.

I could also do this using Facebook. To get the same sort of functionality offered by Facebook would be quite a task in Wordpress. See the question posed on StackOverflow linked below.

The ideal situation would be that "members" of the blog will get an email or rather a notification (i.e. as a text/sms message) when a comment is made on ANY of the posts on the forum.

Using an SMS plugin

This will have to be looked at. There is a page on the wordpress.org website. Note that this is .org and not.com and as such is probably not for the "faint-hearted". The page is not natively in English so this is somewhat troubling.

Send SMS from your WordPress site and integrate with over 300 gateways, such as Twilio, WhatsApp Business API, Clickatell, BulkSMS, and Plivo. Supports popular plugins like WooCommerce, GravityForms, and Ninja Forms. It also includes essential features like two-factor authentication (2FA) and one-time password (OTP) verification, customizable messaging buttons, and much more to enhance your site’s communication and security.

Looking at some of the screenshots I am yet to be convinced.
