The "like" concept

I have started to replace the "social" buttons on my pages with a "Like" button. I am borrowing from Social Media here but I have no intention of making this website interactive

I have a few theories on the psychology of the use of a "Like" button on Social Media.

I find this particularly interesting as there seems to be no concept of not using Facebook as you purposely don't want the whole world to know everything about you!

I make no claims that I am "normal", but then I am not looking for a job.

However, I do acknowledge that I would be suspicious in this case.
