Google Search Console - Performance Reports
One of most useful reports generated by Google Search console is the Performance Report.
Even if your pages are not generating "clicks" the fact that you have an "Impression" means that you have posted something that an Internet user has searched for.
Your pages position in the SERP
This depends on many things and you possibly don't have that much control over this unless your page is very unique. However, there are things that you can do to hopefully improve the position and to increase the chance of a visitor clicking through to your page.
Most Recent Date report
While the visitor who found your impression did not click to your page, you can use this report to see how any changes you have made to a specific page and help you decide what changes to make.
For example I observed an impression for my "How to configure the HTML DOM addEventListener() Method" page there was also a query for "html dom classlist" which should have found my "How to use the HTML DOM classList Property" page - this page was not in the Google index or in my sitemap file. In addition, there was some substantial errors on the page in that I had not correctly described the classList property.
Another example is a page that I saw had many impressions (well, relatively) but had yet to collect a click. This page was on Charles Portway Tortoise Stove, seeing as this is pretty unique I thought that the person making the search wanted to find examples of the stove. To this end I changed the Title tag from just the name of the stove to "Where to find an example of a Tortoise Stove".
This is in contrast to where I am posting about a technical topic where I am unlikely to get Clicks as there are too many other authoritive sources. An example of this is my page on Template Literals. The search query was: "mdn template literals" which was indeed on the page. I admit that I didn't really explain Template Literals as it was more just a "note to self".
