TSOHost and GoDaddy

Having inherited a domain that was hosted on TSOHost I have a strange relationship with the company. The story started with a request to "take-over" the running of a Wordpress.com website. The domain that was associated with the Wordpress site was either registered by Wordpress.oom or the original creator of the Wordpress.com website - I actually don't know.

Three years later I find that I cannot easily use a LetsEncrypt SSL certificate. The other websites that I administer use LetsEncrypt, while not seamless - it still is automatic (sometimes) but it is free.

GoDaddy (TSOHost) no longer allow the automatic installation of a current free SSL certificate and recomend that if you site is "mission critical" that you purchase an SSL certificate from them. The cheapest was $17 per month - so much for "free hosting"!

GridHost Control Panel

This was what my hosting on TSOHost as before the GoDaddy aquisition. Having posted about my experiences with the Gridhost interface I am not surprised that there are continuing problems at TSOHost.

GoDaddy

The domain belchampwaltervillagehall.co.uk is as far as I know registered through GoDaddy.

The name servers had not been re-set 22 April 2024 (if the domain has been renewed)
