Slideshow JavaScript
There are two main scripts in this technique. One controls the presentation of the slides, the second the actions of the control bar of the slideshow.
The control bar:
I don't intend to document the scripts on this page and the coding can be seen in the source code. What I have done is to compress the scripts to two lines of code. This makes them difficult to understand, but they seem to work.
The Presentation Script:
This script is responsible for hiding and displaying a sequence of containers that have the images and headers in each. It also contains the functions to set the interval faster and slower as well as pause and resume.
The Control Script:
This script works with the control bar and involks the functions within the Presentation script. The script also updates the container that is located in the overlay menu (if displayed) see below.
The Overlay control:
Finally there is a container in the overlay menu that displays the interval of the presentation. This is in the form of a button that can also be used to pause the presentation.
The button on the overlay displays the interval period or the displayed slide (if stepping through on Pause)
