Menu Threatening a webmaster

Why this is not a good idea to threaten a webmaster (or anyone in control of a technology)

Unlike posting on Social Media or a Blog or forum, the owner of a website has complete control of what appears on their website. Like so many things on the Internet it is very difficult to "censor" what can be found when making a search. The complaints that Facebook, Instagram and Twitter get about the publication of "Hate Speech" is a case in point.

It took me a while to refine the redirection of pages, but up to that time I had not been asked to remove postings from this website. At first I was just deleting or re-writing the pages that offended but now I can re-direct a request for the original page to any page on this website. This solves the problem that I was finding when Bing or other searches than Google were still finding the summaries of the pages that I had removed.

The beauty of this is that I can still have the original pages (possibly on the server) but those searching for it will see the page that I want them to. This also means that I can re-post the pages should circumstances change. I could also post a review that is not seen as an attempt to destroy a business!
