Identified Graves in Belchamp Walter PC Cemetery
Due to poor record keeping and lack of up-keep of the earlier graves in the Parish Council Cemetery many of the graves have become almost impossible to identify. The burials are recorded in the Burial Register and that forms the primary historic record of deaths from the 1920's to the present day.
The graves from the 1920's up to 1950 are located in the Northern end of the cemetery and have become over-grown.
Below ia an original plan of the Northern part of the cemetery:

There is also another plan the covers the whole cemetery. This plan is also flawed and shows plots that are actually in the farmers field at one end and Hall road at the other.
The original plan showing the Northern section of the cemetery:
This original plan, drawn as a formal document, shows the plots to the North of the gap between the main grouping of graves and the section to the North fence. It also has a note made by Walter Deal, Church Warden, saying that plot 121 had been lost due to the gravedigger taking too much room for the other graves in the row.
The plan shown at the top of this page is truncated at plot 28 on the first row (close to the Esat hedge/fence).
The identified graves
