The Pearsons Family
The Pearsons family name is a common one in the history of Belchamp Walter. It is likely that this represents more than one family although they may share a common heritage.
Proprietors of the local pub, war veterans and school teachers are the Pearsons claim to fame. However, there is also a Pearson family that can be found remembered on the War Memorial in the cemetery. John Pearson was a veteran of The Great War and he has a grave in the Ypres (Menin Gate) Memorial West-Vlaanderen, Belgium.
There are 10 Pearsons in the Belchamp Walter Roll of Honour for those that served their country in the Great War.
