Stuffing page content with Keywords
As I found out by observation of my Impression statistics for Local Pages, those searching for a name and location were finding pages on this website that could possibly be seen as confusing. This was not intentional and was just the interest that I had in local history.

Visits to pages related to the Village Church, a major source of historical information, featured a particular family name.
Why I decided this was not fair
I have taken great pains not to use my full name on this website. This was due to the fact that I did not want people to search for my full name. My Christian name is very common and therefore benign. I have had a situation in the past where a certain individual who I had a disagreement with over his business conduct that attempted to smear my name by suggesting that I was a sexual deviant.
On this website currently I had/have pages relating to local history. These pages inevitably contain names of local inhabitants. These, although historical in nature, also represent living persons. This is a shame and I think is a casualty of the "Social Media/Celebrity" age that we live.
In order to remove Impressions that contain the name in question and the village I have to audit all of the pages that contain them. This is primarily done using Google Search Console and following links from those pages that are getting Impressions. In some ways I resent having to do this, on the other hand it is a good way of determining how Google builds its index and what people are searching.
I do not want tempusfugit.me.uk pages to come up when a search for the particular name and village is searched. The name alone will return many pages far more important than mine, in fact searching for a common English name as a single word is pretty useless. The search for the Village name is okay as long as any history pages are censored for the family name.
This is sad as it relects the Celebrity Culture that we currently have.
