Fixed Top Bar

The importance of a fixed top banner on a webpage.

When developing pages, especially for the mobile phone, I think that having a fixed banner at the top of the page is something that should be mandated.

The unedited Portfolio template allows the menu at the top of the screen to scroll.

The fixed top menu on all resolutions was a difficult task to get to work properly. The top bar on the large resolution screen was the first to be developed. The medium and small resolutions both have the same coding, the small (mobile) top bar is different and was possibly the most difficult to get correct.

Like many changes on this website design there have been many attempts to get things to work.

Making the top bar clickable

This is seen on my page Setting Banner on Scroll. It is also an additional complication of the design and is probably too obtuse for most visitors.
