Haverhill

Belchamp Walter

Haverhill is in Suffolk. It was one of the planned "expansion" towns according to David Addy's "The St Edmundsbury Chronicle 2000".

The reference above was taken from a link from the Wikipedia page for Haverhill. There is a lot more information in this chronical that relates to the local area. David Addy is from Bury St. Edmunds.

Colne Valley Railway

One of the features you will see as you drive through Haverhill from Cambridge towards Sudbury or Halsted is the viaduct over the A143 (unless you have taken the bypass). The viaduct was built to link the two railway stations of Haverhill, the Colne Valley Railway and the Sudbury/Long Melford to Cambridge line (Stour Valley Line).
