Growing up in Essex

I spent quite a few formative years in the village of Great Wakering, Essex. Now that I am now living in another Essex village, far removed from Great Wakering, I guess there is no wonder that I have a certain curiousity about the counties history.

Both Jamie and Jimmy Doherty (Jimmy's Farm) grew up in Clavering, Essex.

Jamie and Jimmy’s Friday Night Feast was filmed in a pop-up resturant at the head of Southend pier.

Jimmy's Farm is located in Wherstead, near Ipswitch, Suffolk. Wherstead is not far from Belchamp Walter, between the river Stour and the river Orwell, dare I say it, in "Lovejoy Country".
