Belchamp Walter in the late 1870's
I am not sure why I started this page but I saw it accessed in a server log. It has probably been replaced by Dundonald and Renovations in the Church (1859).

Or by Belchamp Walter in the Nineteenth Century - Actually it was My "Archive" page.
Still, it was an interesting time to document as it saw the building of the new school house in 1872 after the "recovery" of the manor lands in 1865. Possibly not a good move as the farmers went on strike in 1893. By 1923 things had progessed such that a lot of the village buildings were auctioned, the farms (I will have to check the newpaper articles) may also have been sold in this time-frame.
