TSOHost - Problems

This page discusses the current problems with TSOHost.

TSOHost were aquired by GoDaddy (in 2023 I think). Up to the time that the ownership changed and presently, there have been problems with email and general website maintenance. The change to GoDaddy saw the dropping of the wasy installation of a free SSL certificate. The automatic update of a Let's Encrypt SSL Certificate was changed to a manual process.

While it is still possible to use a Let's Encrypt SSL Certificate with a website hosted on GoDaddy/TSOHost it has been made considerably more difficult.

TSOHost/GoDaddy charge extra for SSL certificates.

Website Administration

Originally TSOHost used the GridHost control panel. This also included the implementation of GridHost Mail. The website administration is now performed using cPanel.

Paying for this you don't need

GoDaddy will attempt to sell you "Privacy for you. Protection for your domain".
