Temporary Removal of a URL from Google

Seeing clicks on pages for which I had determined where made by an Internet user that was looking for information that I thought was not something that I intended to share, I have made some removal requests.

These removals were intentionally temporary in nature as I had changed the pages so that when re-indexed to sensitive information, peoples names etc, will not feature in the search result.

Permanent Removal

This is the same process with the additional step of removing the file from the server.

Case in point

This page is a case in point. I had a visit to my old page on Google Search Console. # This old page had a link to this page (in its old format). I deleted the old format file on GSC and updated this page to the new format.

I then made a request to remove the old page from the Google Index.
