Errors detected by Search Console - Mobile Rendering

In my usage of Google Search Console I started to get errors that I was not seening before. I added formatting to a table and that seemed to trigger the errors.

I reproduced the table here to see if GSC picked up the same problems on this page. I have also changed the general layout of the page and the errors don't seem to be persistant.

What I was trying to do with this page

This may well be an example of changing two things at once and then seeing an error that you have not seen before. It also could have been due to Google making a change to a report and picking up an error that it didn't see before.

The changes that I made were both related to adding styled hyperlinks to quoted and other text on my pages. The fisrt change was that I copied the original code to a new template so that the desination "anchors" were not hidden by a fixed banner. The second was the addition of these "button" links to a table that was reporting no errors until I added the links.

I have added the table on this page copied from the page that now errors. I will submit it to Google for indexing and see if the error is picked up on this page.

The errors that I was seeing in the GSC report were: "Text to small to read" and "Clickable elements too close together". Looking at the page on a mobile device I cannot see instances where this is the case.

Looking in the Google help I was seeing references to tables and as far as I know the change was something to do with a table. Although I cannot see why it was okay before I added the styled hyperlinks.
