Setting Top Bar to "Home"
Having had problems in getting pages with a hyperlink in a button element to validate I was wondering if I coud use the same technique on just a text element.
It is a well accepted notion that clicking on an icon at the top of a page will take you to the home page of the icon clicked. Wordpress.com seems to do this by default.
The hyperlink is only added to the mobile resolution header as it is not really needed on the desktop display. It could be added to the "medium" resolution but I am not sure that it would be understood in that context as most tablets display as a desktop.
The code
This was taken from the (More) button it was removed from earlier as it caused a Descendent Element error . The hyperlink has the style="text-decoration:none" added so that there is no underline.
In the case of my Parish Council website the banner can change depending on whether the page is Council page or a page dedicated to the Friends of the church or the PCC. The hyperlink can be set to the relevent page. It can even change the banner text when the page is scrolled. BWPC/onscroll.html - Setting banner on Scroll
