Creating a fake Facebook profile

Having been presented with the prospect of looking at a live-streaming setup that uses Facebook I have discovered that to access the live-stream you have to log-in to a Facebook account.

As I try to stay away from Facebook as much as I can I can see that there is a potential problem with others that have no desire to have a Facebook account as they are not interested in Social Media. Having to sign-up just to watch a Church Service, for example, is a bit of an imposition.

I am sure that there will be many that will not see this as a problem and there will be many others that are already Facebook users, however, I think that there may be need to show those that are interested in just the live-streaming how to set up an account with no real information associated with it.

Again, there will be those that will have no problem with having an account with their real name, but the profile need not include any more information than that.

Observations on my fake accounts

Currently I have at least two fake accounts. I have a profile that I created when I was living in Canada and I was looking to see what Facebook was all about. The profiles I created in the UK were to see what was posted on local Facebooks and Groups.
