Free Fibre Internet

County Broadband offered free instllation and free internet to Belchamp Walter Village Hall.

March 2023 - So far the installation has been done but not connected to the Fibre network. The understanding is that the road needs to be closed to allow technicians to access the connection in the street. The village is "live" so there is no question that the fibre signal exists not far from the hall.

In addtion there is a TOBY box outside the Village hall. This was installed when the village was dug-up over two years ago and CBB, when asked about why most of the village is connected using overhead drops after digging up most of the roads, they replied thus:

I suppose that is possible that there is no fibre in the TOBY box outside the hall. However, the roads around Belchamp Walter were extensively dug-up, the Cross-roads all along Gestingthorpe Road, Hall Road and the section between Munt Farm and Belchamp Walter water mill (Mill House actually) - including a long section underground past the Church.

So no, the reply from CBB does not answer my questions!
