BW Censuses

I started off taking the information from the 1891 Census of Belchamp Walter as I had found it making an Internet Search.

Since disecting that census I have found many references to earlier and later censuses for the village. 1891 is an interesting year as it falls after the farm workers revolt in the area and before the Great War. Those listed in the 1891 census were families that lost greatly as a consequence of those that served their country and quite frankly the population suffered as a such. The population in 1851 seems to be higher and there are also families that appear in both of those censuses. Families that are to be found in burial records are also listed in those two censuses.

More current census data, from the 20th Century and later, is not so easily found and seems to have been "hoovered up" by the geneological websites such as ancestry.com.
