Father Aidan Harker
Father Aidan Harker was the vicar of Belchamp Walter 1997 to 2000.
As an Anglian church St. Mary's Belchamp Walter the fact that a "father" of possibly a Catholic (Order of St. Benedict - OSB) priest is a little strange to me. However, given the church's history with respect to the Puritan influence (not that this is that evident in the reported histories) and the further defacement of the Botetourt chantry.
The Aidan Harker referenced in the link below may be a different Aidan Harker but it is strange that nothing else to be found on the Internet (at least as far as the author of this website is concerned).
The quote from the article found on Church Times - "Claiming the OSB inheritance" was all that I could find at the time made a search for background information on a priests/vicars that had served at St. Mary's Belchamp Walter. The church records have an Aidan Harker from the period of 1997 to 2000. He is also recorded at presiding at funerals and burials over this period.
The vicar preceeding Aidan Harker was Ronald Trevor Howard, although there was a 3 year period between 1993 until 1997.
The North Hinckford Benefice
Sometime around the year 2000 the village of Belchamp Walter was served by clergy provided by the North Hinckford Benefice. It is not known if Aidan Harker was assigned to the clergy for Belchamp Walter at that time. Further information may be available from the Benefice. The North Hinckford Team's website is referenced below.
