Running a torrent client on a Windows computer

To be clear this NOT a method to install and run Bittorrent or other torrent client on a Windows computer. What this method IS, is a way to run a torrent client on a Windows computer.

This solution is for those that have a working Windows setup that they wish to maintain and NOT have to learn a new operating system or switch over to it full-time. You will have to familiarise yourself with a little Ubuntu Linux but the proceedure is just a matter of following a few simple steps.

The Proceedure to download a torrent

This is the proceedure once you have prepared the bootable Linux USB stick. Linux is NOT installed on your Windows computer so nothing will be lost or reconfigured in your regular setup.

A bootable USB drive was created using Rufus as per the tutorial on the Ubuntu website.
