Displaying Page Notes

A method to display webmaster notes on a page when a menu option is selected.

The notes are not normally display when the page is accessed. This could be for a number of reasons. Firstly, so that the visitor is not confused by the authors preamble, thoughts or short-cuts to other pages that are either related or being worked on at the same time.

This technique is one of the many enhancements that I have added to my layout.

The notes will only be available to those that are aware of the expandable dropdown menus and are viewing the page with a large display. The notes are not really aimed at the mobile user but they can be viewed if you know how to display them.

The display of the notes is accompanied by a gototop() call as there is no point in displaying the notes (at the top of the page by defualt) if you can't see them.

To hide the notes simply refresh the page.
