Being able to get your pages to appear at the top of a search result is the goal of many webmasters.

It is relativly easy to do this but you need to understand how search works and how to use the tools availble to all webmasters. It is not just a question of throwing money at the project.

The choice of a plaform is key but again you have to understand the dynamics behind this choice. Social Media is a good way to get instant web presence but it can often be seen as "un-professional". It is a widely held opinion that to be professional you need a website or a mobile app that is accessible by all. A website can be accessed by all Internet users, perhaps if they search for it, an app can be offered on the major mobile platforms. These mobile platforms include, Apple, Microsoft and Google/Android. The app approach is going to cost you more than a simple website.
