Creating your own design

To create a template and css (style sheet) that reflects the design you require is quite simple. Modifications to the css file will change the colours and appearace of the menu buttons and possibly the layout of ALL the pages, changes to the template file will change the way that you create pages.

Changes to the Style Sheet

I try and give an example here. I will not go too far as this is left to whoever wants to continue in their own direction. This will be a Parish Council template with a modified css file.

Example_1 - with a modified css file rwd1.css

Your own template

The example here will be my current css file, rwd.css with a modified Parish Council template.

Example_2 - Looks pretty much the same as tempusfugit.me.uk

Things that I found during this exercise

There is/was an error in my rwd.css file in relation to the colour of the text in the menu options. I think that I now have a better idea of the heiracy of css selectors. The seperation by , or white space (as in li a)
