GDPR and my History Pages

I have noticed that it is now not easy to find personal information on people that are still alive or have recently deceased. This I somewhat attribute to the explosion of electronic communication.

Of course the growth of the Internet, the widespread use of email and messaging and, not forgetting, Social Media, things have escalated over the last few years.

Background

The subject of GDPR was raised with respect to the Village Hall Committee and the mass mailing of those interested in events. My understanding was that a new GDPR document was drafted and posted to the Village Hall Website. As far as I know this was not audited and I have placed the page back into "draft" status. The page still exists on the Wordpress server and the Village Hall profile but it is not "published" or linked from the live website.
