Frances and Oliver

The information on this page comes from the family trees of Descendants of William the Conqueror by Allan Freer and other sources.

Frances Harris and Oliver Raymond married in 1653. Charles I was executed 1649 and 1653 was when the Barebones (little) Parliament of the Confederancy was setup. This parliament was the first that Oliver Raymond was involved and it was nominated as opposed to being elected. The second Parliament that Oliver was involved was 1656, the First Protectorate Parliment. Oliver Cromwell died 1658 and Charles II was Restored in 1660.

They are reported to have had 21 children.

Their first son, St.Clere, was disinherited as a result of his marriage to Anne Warkham (daughter of Lawrence Warkham). No information has been found yet about the Warkmans. However, St.Clere's grandson John (III) inherited the estate. St.Clere's son, John (II) married Anne Burgoyne in 1690.

John (II)'s other offspring were: William (d.1732), Edward, James and Samuel.

The last Samuel, son of John (II), was the father of the current Raymond Family.

William , the second son of St.Clere, inherited the estate in 1720 on the death of John (III) and died in 1732.
