Meta Catalog

The Facebook/Meta Catalog came to my attention when Google Search tools told me that a search for facebookcatalog/1.0 was a "Top Growing Query".

As I am not a business and I am not selling anything it is curious why those making the search would end up finding me. I can only guess that I am way down the results listing.

Still, this gives me a good opportunity to review their offerings for businesses in eCommerce.

Questions on whether the use of facebookcatalog/1.0 increases the revenue of a buisiness will be interesting to know. The feedback from users on how they found uploading items to the catalog and whether it was an easy process and the problems that users found with it.

The Meta/Facebook page says:

What is a catalog on Facebook and Instagram?

A catalog holds information about the products you want to advertise or sell across Shops on Facebook and Instagram. It also helps you reach high-intent shoppers by optimizing the way your ads reach people across Meta technologies and the web.
