17th Century historian
A lot of Dugdale's historical records are quoted by later historians. Thomas Wright uses him as a reference as does Richard Newcourt. Newcourt was more concerned with the ecclesiastic side of things so his account may be less than reliable as a fundamental source. William Dugdale, 17th Century historian. He is quoted on many of my pages.
Some of these are in research from other sources. I started with Thomas Wright, 1831/36, and there are many other references including the Battle Abbey Roll (Wilhelmina Powlett, Duchess of Cleveland).
