Website 101

The tempusfugit.me.uk website is the result of many years trying different website design techniques. Attempts at structuring all that I worked out over the years has not been easy. Getting everything to work is a combination of many aspects of design including Javascript, CSS and general Responsive Design.

The administrative tasks, while essential to the whole process, are also described on this website in terms of my experiences.

Being concerned not to be just a lookup service for other Internet users I have tried to supply information while not just providing a means for visitors never to return. External links are more useful to me than to a visitor so I have taken steps not to just post them although I have indications what these external links are.

Links can be displayed if a key is pressed otherwise they will remain hidden. This should also be the case for search engine spiders and the possible inclusion in search indices.

Keyhandler

My latest new template has a keyhandler that loads when the page is loaded. This is then used to control the display of the external links. These links should also be invisible to the web spiders, Google scans as a mobile device by default.
