Researching your Belchamp Walter Ancestry
The research of your family history is big business. The Internet is a great tool to allow you to do this, however, you will soon find there are many services that want to sell you a subscription to allow you access to the records that are looking for.
The parish records of Births, Deaths and Marriages have been "hoovered" up by the geneolical websites, or at least they will try and tell that they have the records. The same can be said of census data.

The Families of Belchamp Walter
Seeing that there have been "hits" on this website from those apparently looking for information of relatives that may have lived or have been born or buried in the village I have started a few pages for them to find.
Using Geneological websites
When I search for a family name and Belchamp Walter I will often find an Ancestry.com page the has a listing that contains this information. In a lot of cases there is not a lot of related information that can be used to form a definite conclusion. The hint is that Ancestry have more information but you will need to take out a subscription to find out. I suspect that is just part of their algorithm to entice those that are researching their family name to do so.
An example of this is the Humm family of Belchamp Walter. In this example I find that there is a Martha Humm from 1756 to 1816 who is shown to be the mother of a Thomas Firmin.
Both of these family names are associated with Belchamp Walter and appear in censuses and church records. However, I am highly skeptical that there is more linkage and that the search result is little more than a physing expedition.
