Using Google Analytics for FB Marketing Campaign

The source of a Facebook Referral can be seen in the following report:

In my attempt at trying to promote the village Advent Craft Fair a QR code was generated that pointed to a page on this website. The poster was distrubuted and also posted on Facebook. While Facebook was not my first choice it did serve to test the effectiveness of such a campaign.

As seen on the clip from the GA4 report the Session Source and Medium show how the Craft Fair page was accessed. The result for a single day, 4 before the event, shows that the major method of access was a Google Search, the second was direct (and I am assuming that it was from scanning the QR code), the third was a Facebook referrar from a desktop device.

In this sample there were no mobile referrals. I have purposely left out the actual numbers but they were pitiful, and go to support that the whole project was pretty much a waste of time. Mobile referrals had been seen in the past but I feel that the Facebook users are more likely to have been frightened off by the shimming.
