Wordpress Version Control

A discussion on how to keep track of earlier versions of your Wordpress pages.

When I was using the Wordpress GUI the version of a page or post and the ability to "Restore a Revision of a Page or Post" was something that seemed problematic.

wordpress.com say:

The WordPress editor autosaves your work and stores a revision history for each page and post on your site. This guide will show you how to restore an earlier version of a page or post.

While this sounds all well and good its implementation proved to be less than ideal.

Wordpress Activity Log

The Jetpack Activity Log shows a record of all activities and events on your website so you can keep track of your site’s changes. This guide explains how it works and how to view your site’s activities.

Free plans are limited to viewing only the past 20 events, whereas WordPress.com paid plans have access to their complete site activity.
