More Magna Carta

There is so much to figure out about Magna Carta. Contrary to the general notion that "The Great Charter" is the main catalyst for Jurisprudence, it is more to do with the interests of the 11th and 12th century nobility than the establishment of fair laws for the common man.

Magna Carta is far more than a dispute with King John. John was just the monarch at the time, Richard, his predessor, was just as well regarded by the Barons and the agents of other regime with as much suspicion that the monarchy was only concerned with their own welfair.

Rather than the establishment of Habeas corpus, Magna Carta was more about protecting the Barons rights to a fair trial.
