Little Wenham, Suffolk
Little Wenham Church was visited 13 June 2023 on a short day-trip including visits to Newton Green and Washbrook.

There doesn't seem to be any information on Little or Great Wenham in the Suffolk Manors book.
Little Wenham Church was featured in "The Churches Conservation Trust" listing of all their Churches. The wall paintings were of particuar interest and the glowing account from Simon Knott also made the visit desireable.
The Church is accessed via a long track from the Great Wenhan to Capel St.Mary road starting at the Queen's Head pub. The track is pretty bumpy and takes you past an automatic gate that at first glance you may think that you are entering private property. The track continues past some interesting scenary and past Little Wenham hall and castle (see arial photo below).

The entrance to Little Wenham Hall appears to be via Days Road. There is now access from the church which is accessed from The Row. There is an electrically operated gate on The Row but it will open if you drive towards it.
