External Websites - Removal of links to other websites

As I have observed that visitors who find some of my pages only use them to click to another website never to be seen again I have changed some of the external links to this page.

If you know how to do so, and that is mainly the type of visitor that I am posting to attract, then you will find the external link in the source code (.HTML) for the page.

I have been adding links to this page on pages that I see are visited and the visitor appears to go off to the external site possibly not returning. While I have no objection to providing links to my research in many cases I don't gain anything from doing so.

Background to this page

Having seen some of my history pages being found by those making an Internet search I have decided to add a bit more context on how the pages came about.

A function was contructed on this page from the code given in appletoolbox example. Opens a new window and echoes the html to this new page.
