Filtering GA4 Reports

One of the aspects of Google Analytics that was an issue in the past for me is that during my development of pages and content that the majority of my reports contained mostly my own visits.

Under Universal Analytics to exclude these visits from your reports was possible by the setting of a cookie and telling Google not to include this data. This has changed under GA4.

I have yet to get this to work - My GA4 profile says what I have setup so far is "Testing".

Filtering Known Bots

This is presumably done automatically.

Certainly, when a page is submitted for re-index the Googlebot visits do not appear in the reports.
